BioTech Finalizes Gas Upgrading Equipment Selection for Upcoming Facilities
BioTech has finalized the selection of gas upgrading equipment for its first wave of renewable natural gas (RNG) facilities—an important milestone that enables detailed engineering to advance across all active projects. The chosen system will handle the critical step of converting raw biogas from the advanced German digestion process into pipeline quality RNG by removing carbon dioxide, moisture, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and trace contaminants.
With equipment selection complete, BioTech’s engineering partners can now begin formal design development, including equipment sizing, utility planning, layout integration, and controls architecture. Early confirmation of the upgrading solution also helps align pipeline interconnect planning, compression requirements, and environmental permitting assumptions.
This milestone ensures each BioTech facility will deliver consistent, high purity RNG suitable for injection into the interstate natural gas grid and long term offtake agreements.
